Activities Outline:

Introduction to Quadrilaterals:
Definition of a quadrilateral (four-sided polygon).
Creating Quadrilaterals:
- Square: Four equal sides and four equal angles.
- Rectangle: Opposite sides are equal and parallel; four right angles.
- Trapezium: One pair of parallel sides.
- Parallelogram: Opposite sides are parallel and equal.
- Kite: Two distinct pairs of adjacent sides that are equal.
- Rhombus: All sides are equal, opposite sides are parallel.
- General Quadrilateral: Any four-sided figure.
- Isosceles Trapezium: Non-parallel sides are equal in length.
Exploring Parallelogram Family:
Identifying shapes that belong to the parallelogram family. Properties of parallelograms: Opposite sides are parallel and equal, opposite angles are equal, adjacent angles are supplementary. Shapes in the parallelogram family: Parallelogram, rectangle, square, rhombus.
